Back to September: HELP US HELP OTHERS!

Things come full-circle at some point, and we often fail to notice. The very cosmos aligns itself on a biannual basis, but the same scenario is the stuff of mythical fodder in ancient stories and legends. It's a funny thing, but I suppose it makes the world a lot easier on the eyes and a lot more exciting to think about. After all, how can we look at ourselves with wonder if we don't have any reason to wonder about ourselves? Anyways, this is our way of saying welcome back- to school, the humdrum of everyday routines, to the stiffening beat of the drum of life. The year has begun, we have made the rounds once again, and summer has brought itself to a deidedly graceful close.

But there's one more cycle that we need to avert our attention to: that's a cycle of community. Charity is one of those fabulous things that we can use to bridge any gaps in our community cycle of give-back. If you're new here or haven't heard, we've made it our purpose to not only preach, but practice. Our writing workshops have benefitted not only local students, but new writers from a rarely-heard voice: that of less privilege, of persistence against odds. These new voices have brightened up our summer and our blog, and to to continue giving to our future library of thinkers, we need YOUR HELP!

Our shirts are hand-drawn by our talented website background artist, and the proceeds from their sales go directly to our cause. We want to institute poetry slams in underprivileged schools across the county, and of course we can't do it without YOU! Your support has been INCREDIBLE and we're excited to see what heights we can take it to with your valued encouragement!
