INSPIRE OC is dedicated to creativity (specifically the art of creative writing), and the simple but powerful belief that artistic expression is inherent in all of us. In school, we don't get the kind of unlicensed creativity that comes with independent writing. Academic writing becomes the norm, and for those of us who fear essays and analyses, it's easy and quick to associate writing with boredom. So many of us close the door on writing that we rarely see ourselves as "good" at it, and shun a method of expression, the power of instilling emotion in people with our work. Here is our chance to express freely our thoughts, give ourselves voices, and explore the wonderful world of writing firsthand. This is for everyone: those of us who are not given the chance to explore this art, some who are not able to explore this fountain of creativity in their communities, Our goal is to give all students a chance to revisit their own thoughts and put them down on paper, not afraid to share them with their peers and eventually with the rest of the world. There lies an author inside everyone- we need only look and pull it out!
