Fiction Spotlight: Three Moments, Part 1

By Jenny Guo, Woodbridge High School

Nothing was coming to mind. She had been dry with ideas for a whole week, and the project was due in three days. Sitting outside a coffee shop with a cup of cappuccino and gazing downtown was not helping Lynne get any inspirations for her new design. The weather was getting warmer, summer hit earlier and earlier every year. Knowing ladies like to shop for the next season early, the company wanted to bring the shoes out on market before mid-April, so the designers had been greatly rushed. When she looked up, her eyes locked on his like magnets. His pupils were so dark, like black pearls washed by the ocean waves; but there is a touch of cold elegance under the majestic air. Cupid’s arrow finally found her and pushed her off into the river with no warning at all. That moment, she fell in love.
